Stewardship Pillar

Stewardship Pillar

Stewardship is “giving all that we have and all that we are to God all of the time.” While for each individual, stewardship is an act and responsibility of personal discipleship, on a corporate level, stewardship:

1.    Is the mature care and feeding of the church.
2.    Is a biblical responsibility given into hands of the community of the Baptized.

Vision/Mission of the Stewardship Pillar: To carefully tend to the spiritual and material well-being of our inheritance and accept responsibility for the legacy we will leave to the next generations.

1.    We teach the principles of faith as they relate to stewardship, the Biblical principle of the tithe, the dependence of the Body of Christ on the gifts of all of its members, and the responsibility we each have to ourselves and one another in identifying and committing our material and spiritual gifts to the advancement of God’s Kingdom, and the joy of service.
2.    We keep accurate, complete and transparent records of our financial affairs.
3.    We keep our buildings and grounds in good repair.
4.    We provide for our current programmatic and physical needs.
5.    We anticipate the needs of tomorrow.
6.    We share in the cost of these works of faith among all of our member households.
