Saturday, June 21, 8 p.m. at All Saints
A hand-clapping experience that is perfect for the entire family!
Seraphic Fire celebrates the release of its newest CD “Amazing Grace: A Gospel and Bluegrass Journey” with a reprise of one of the ensemble’s most popular concerts to date. Join Miami’s musical miracle as they trace the origins of “Amazing Grace” from rural Appalachian congregations and urban African-American Pentecostal churches to modern Bluegrass and R&B.

FILLING A REAL COMMUNITY NEED WITH "BEDS AROUND THE ALTAR"
A report in the SunSentinel at the end of March states that there are more than a hundred homeless families in Broward County waiting for emergency housing each week. Pat Mantis, director of the Broward County Coalition for the Homeless, says that her phone rings constantly looking for temporary shelter for families.
All Saints is one of 50 churches that has been host to several families that have unfortunately found themselves in a homeless situation. We have adopted this as one part of our outreach program, hosting families several times a year. During the latter part of our building project we weren’t able to assist these families as often as we would have liked. This year we will host two families in July and October.
We are coordinating volunteers to bring an evening meal and chaperones (male and female preferred) to be on-site overnight with the families. It is a very awesome and rewarding feeling when you can help out a family in this critical situation. The week of July 21-25, each evening we need an individual or group to feed the families about 5:30 p.m. and for two adults to chaperone from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. in the church sanctuary. For more information or to volunteer as a disciple for this wonderful opportunity of giving, contact Jeff Miller.
