Dear All Saints Parishioners,

Our rector has shepherded us through several difficult periods at All Saints during his tenure, visioned us to be a welcoming and open congregation, and tirelessly worked over the last two years to open and dedicate new space. It is my wish, as your Senior Warden, that Sherod be left in quiet during his sabbatical to recharge his energies over the next three months, using his time wisely as he sees fit. The burdens of All Saints have been lifted from him for this very short period of time!

There are capable people, Roger, Rosa, and a host of incredible leaders at All Saints, that can deal with issues as they arise. Sherod is still All Saints Rector and if so needed would be available to us in the most critical of circumstances. It would be up to Roger, Rosa and myself to agree upon involving him. Let us respect this time of renewal for Sherod as a gift for him both as a priest and a person, and and let him return to us a refreshed, vibrant pastor and friend.
